Choose the Vessel Before Finalizing the Custom Details
Material and vessel selection is normally one of the first decisions in a candle container project because it affects appearance, weight, available shapes, surface finishing, logo methods, lid compatibility, packaging protection, MOQ and production lead time.
Vessaro’s core in-house manufacturing category is ceramic candle vessels, produced at our Chaozhou production base. Selected glass candle jars, candle tins and cement containers are supplied through approved partner factories under confirmed specifications, sample approval and final inspection requirements.
For buyers developing a new collection, we recommend confirming the intended material, approximate capacity, shape and order quantity before spending time on detailed artwork or packaging. Once the basic vessel direction is clear, the project can move into Size, Shape & Capacity development.
Ceramic Candle Vessels
Ceramic is the main in-house category at Vessaro and is suitable for candle brands that require stronger control over vessel shape, glaze, color and surface appearance.
Our ceramic range can include ceramic, stoneware and porcelain vessels, depending on the selected design. Buyers can work from existing molds or provide dimensions, drawings or a physical reference for new-mold feasibility review.
Ceramic also offers flexibility for glaze and surface development. Matte, glossy, colored or selected textured appearances can be reviewed against a reference sample before bulk production. Glass Candle Containers
Glass is commonly selected when buyers need a cleaner visual appearance, transparency or familiar candle-jar formats. Available programs can include clear, colored, frosted and decorative glass vessels.
Glass containers are coordinated through approved partner factories rather than manufactured at our Chaozhou ceramic production base. Dimensions, finish, lid requirements and packaging are confirmed against the selected model and approved sample before bulk supply.
When reviewing glass options, buyers should pay particular attention to jar dimensions, opening diameter, finish consistency, lid fit and protective export packing.
Candle Tins and Metal Vessels
Tinplate and aluminum candle tins are suitable for programs requiring lightweight containers, matching lids and compact formats. They are often considered for travel-size collections, promotional programs, gift sets and multi-SKU wholesale orders.
Available customization depends on the selected model and may include color, printing or logo decoration, lid finish and branded packaging. Because metal tins follow a different production route from ceramic vessels, specifications and samples are confirmed through the approved partner supply process before bulk production.
Cement and Concrete Candle Containers
Cement or concrete vessels provide a heavier, tactile appearance for decorative and home-fragrance collections. Shape, surface texture, color and weight can differ noticeably from ceramic or glass, so the physical sample is particularly important before confirming a bulk order.
Packaging also requires additional consideration because heavier vessels affect carton weight, divider design and handling during shipment.
Compare More Than Material Alone
Two containers made from different materials can look similar in a product photo but behave very differently during sampling, customization, packing and shipping. For each project, we normally review:
- Target capacity and overall dimensions
- Vessel shape and opening diameter
- Surface color and finish
- Logo or decoration requirements
- Lid and accessory compatibility
- Quantity per design
- Packaging method and destination market
These details help determine whether an existing vessel is suitable or whether additional development is required.
Sample Approval Before Bulk Production
A physical sample is used to confirm the selected vessel before bulk production. Standard or customized samples generally require about 7–15 days, while new mold projects normally require around 20–30 days before an approval sample is available.
Typical project MOQ is around 500–3,000 pieces per design, depending on material, finish, decoration and packaging. New molds or special finishes may require higher quantities.
After the vessel, surface details and packaging are approved, bulk production normally requires approximately 30–45 days, depending on the order requirements.
