Body Preparation Comes Before the Visible Vessel Shape
For ceramic candle vessel production, the result is influenced long before glazing or firing begins. The ceramic body must first be prepared for the selected vessel size, wall profile, forming method and production route.
Vessaro manages ceramic candle vessel production at our Chaozhou production base. Body preparation is part of the in-house ceramic workflow that continues through forming, drying, glazing, firing, finishing, inspection and packing.
For OEM projects, the production route is confirmed against the selected vessel, dimensions and approved sample. Buyers developing a completely new profile should first confirm the basic specification through our Size, Shape & Capacity page.
Preparing the Ceramic Body for Forming
The ceramic body needs to be suitable for the forming method used for the selected design. Straight cylindrical vessels, rounded profiles and more complex shapes can require different mold structures and handling during forming.
The objective at this stage is to prepare a workable and consistent body for the next production step. Material condition can influence how the vessel forms, how it dries and how it behaves later during firing.
For existing-mold orders, the preparation route is generally more established. New vessel shapes require additional mold and sample evaluation before the body specification is released for bulk production.
Projects moving into the next stage can review our Forming & Drying process.
Mold and Specification Readiness
Before bulk forming begins, the vessel dimensions and mold route should already be confirmed.
For an existing vessel, the production team works from the selected mold and approved specification. For a new shape, buyers may provide drawings, target dimensions or a physical reference sample for feasibility review before tooling proceeds.
The production reference should clearly define the main dimensions, vessel profile, opening size and other details that affect later fitting or finishing.
This early confirmation reduces the risk of making changes after glazing, lid development or packaging has already started.
Sample Development Before Bulk Preparation
The development sample is used to verify whether the selected body and forming route produce the expected vessel shape and dimensions.
Standard and customized samples normally require about 7–15 days. New mold projects generally require around 20–30 days before an approval sample is available.
During this stage, buyers should confirm the basic vessel structure before moving further into glaze, color, logo and packaging development.
What Can Affect MOQ and Production Timing
Typical project MOQ is around 500–3,000 pieces per design, depending on vessel size, shape, finish, decoration and packaging.
A standard existing-mold vessel usually follows a more direct route, while new molds or special shapes can add development time before production begins.
After sample approval, bulk production normally requires approximately 30–45 days, depending on quantity and the remaining glazing, firing, decoration and packaging requirements.
